Professor Michael Rosemann

Michael Rosemann has worked after his MBA (1992) for seven years at the Department of Information Systems, University of Münster, Germany. Michael is the Director of the Centre for Information Technology Innovation at Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane. This centre brings together four IT research areas and undertakes high quality integrated and multi-disciplinary research projects. More than 50 academics and 80 research students are working at this Centre. Michael is the unit coordinator for units on "Business Process Engineering", "Workflow Management", and "Fundamentals of Enterprise Systems". Since his arrival in Australia in 1999, he initiated several research projects at QUT with a total volume of approx. 700,000 AUD.

Michael is an internationally recognized expert in Process Management and Enterprise Systems. Over the last three years, he presented his work in 20 different countries. He has been an invited guest speaker at SAP conferences in Lund (Sweden), Nice (France), San Diego, Tampa, Las Vegas, Singapore, Melbourne and Brisbane. He also conducted CRM seminars for SAP Australia and the Australian Computer Society. He is a regular speaker at conferences from IIR (Australia, Gulf, Germany), IQPC, IDG and intos. Besides his academic career, Michael has intensive consulting experiences. Most of these projects have been related to business process management and process modelling. Michael provided among others advise to the following organisations: HIC, Stanwell Power, Television New Zealand, Department of Primary Industries, Corporate Services Agency, Centrelink Call, Department of Defence and Coolong Consulting. Michael is a regular guest lecturer at the Nanyang Technological University Singapore and the Northern Institute of Technology, Hamburg.

Besides more than 120 journal publications, conference publications and book chapters, he published two books on logistics management and process modelling and is editor of two books on "Reference Modelling" and "Business Process Management". He is a member of the Editorial Board of six American journals.
